JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Description of Job Duties: 

  • Manages and coordinates all on-site EPC contractor activities for compliance with the schedule and monitors and enforces compliance with Contract requirements; Implements the Project Construction Execution Plan.

  • Adheres to Safety, Quality, Ethical Standards, Lessons Learned, and Performance Management programs in accordance with Division Policies, Standards, Guides, and Contractual commitments.
  • Responsible for completion of the construction punch list. Has full knowledge of the safety program and acts as the Safety Representative on site in the absence of the regular Safety Supervisor. Has general knowledge of all disciplines of construction and is able to stand in for each discipline. Establishes the tool trailer list at the onset of the project. Resolves safety and quality issues with the safety and quality managers
  • Understands the major commercial and deliverable terms of the construction subcontracts and manages within these terms. Monitors and controls overtime by his subordinates and EPC contactor. Writes the construction portion of the client and construction monthly report.
  • Coordinates with the Owner Engineers or Design team engineers on engineering deliverables.
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor and ensure all project personnel act professionally while interacting with internal and external individuals.
  • Responsible for communicating, collaborating and negotiating with the owner regarding major project decisions.
  • Work diligently to develop a personal working relationship with their owner counterpart and interact on a regular basis.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of site-specific documentation and templates that include the Safety Program File (EHS Procedure, SOP and WI), Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA), Emergency Response Plans, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Site Induction.
  • Participates in EHS related discussions at and Site toolbox talk, Contractor meeting, Client Weekly/Monthly Meetings, Safety Committee Meetings and Staff Meetings.
  • Initiate and organize EHS training of employee and contractor.
  • Perform EHS audit and Inspect on project construction site and operation site to verify consistency with EHS procedural, client requirements, regulatory requirements and, contractor EHS plan.
  • Coordinates and assists Safety Manager/ Project Manager with Incident Investigations to determine Root Cause and recommend appropriate Corrective Actions and Preventive Action.
  • Prepare and follow up the EHS reports and records on weekly/monthly contractor EHS report, Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions from incident, Grievance mechanism, Environmental monitoring, and Waste management.
  • Perform EHS tasks or other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Some travel will be required;
  • 3-5 years working in power generation or project construction as a Safety or H&S Officer/Supervisor with a preference of solar projects experience;
  • Experience in Solar is preference.
  • Knowledgeable in ISO 45000, ISO 14001 and EHS regulations.

Qualification:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in an environmental science/engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent qualifications
  • Safety Officer – Professional level Certificate is required
  • Candidates must be computer literate;
  • High intermediate level of English and Local language, both written and spoken.
  • Have own car with valid Driving License
